Spread between 10-year bond yield and Nifty dividend yield narrows to over three-year low

India’s 10-year bond rallied on Wednesday (April 2) after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced larger-than-expected bond purchases. The yield on the benchmark 10-year bond dropped nearly 10 basis points—from 6.58% to 6.48%—after the central bank revealed plans to buy ₹80,000 crore worth of bonds in April.
