Rupee crash drags India’s forex reserves to 10-month low

India’s forex reserves have plunged to a 10-month low of $625.9 billion as of January 10, dropping $8.7 billion during the week amid central bank intervention to curb rupee volatility. The rupee saw its steepest weekly drop in 18 months today (January 17) and its 10th consecutive weekly loss.
