Nifty logs healthy gains, up 167 points boosted by banks, IT and realty sectors

The BSE Sensex surged 593 points, or 0.78%, to 76,617, while the Nifty 50 gained 167 points, or 0.72%, closing at 23,332. The Nifty Bank index rose 521 points to 51,348, supported by gains in heavyweight private sector banks.
