Frequently Asked Questions(FAQs)

COMEX (Commodity Exchange) is a division of NYMEX that facilitates metals trading, especially for gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
COMEX specializes in trading metals, including Gold, Silver, Copper, Aluminum, Platinum, and Palladium. These are available in various contract sizes (standard, mini, micro), allowing traders to choose based on their capital and risk appetite.
In commodity market trading, futures contracts are agreements to buy or sell a specific quantity of a commodity (like gold, silver, or copper) at a predetermined price on a future date.

Unlike conventional brokers, Market Trade allows participation with relatively low capital, often starting around ₹5,000-₹10,000 depending on the asset and leverage. This makes global commodities more accessible for individual traders.

Margin trading in COMEX allows you to trade large commodity contracts like gold or silver by paying only a small percentage (margin) of the total value. It lets you leverage your capital, increasing both profit potential and risk. You pay an initial margin to open a position and must maintain a minimum balance to avoid a margin call.

COMEX is open Sunday to Friday, nearly 24 hours a day, with a daily break.

COMEX Trading Hours:

U.S. Eastern Time (ET):

6:00 PM to 5:00 PM (next day), Sunday to Friday (Closed from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM ET daily)

Indian Standard Time (IST):

3:30 AM to 2:30 AM (next day), Monday to Saturday (Closed from 2:30 AM to 3:30 AM IST daily)

Prices are influenced by supply-demand, geopolitical events, USD strength, inflation, interest rates, economic data, and market speculation.
