Asia stocks turn to Japan’s ‘Value Up’ strategy to counter Trump’s trade risks

A number of Asian countries including China, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and India have taken up Japan’s old economic strategy of ‘value up’ which includes increasing shareholders’ returns. Economists contend that this measure may be an effective strategy against US President-elect Donald Trump’s tariff threats.
