The S&P 500 was 1.1% higher in early trading, a day after closing more than 10% below its record for its first “ correction ” since 2023. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 203 points, or 0.5%, as of 9:35 a.m. Eastern time, and the Nasdaq composite was 1.8% higher.
