While the Indian stock markets rebounded on Wednesday with benchmark Sensex closing higher by nearly 593 points on strong macro data and value buying in banking and auto shares after recent free fall, investors await US President Trump’s tariff announcements that are expected on April 2 (April 3 in India). India’s 10-year bond rallied on Wednesday (April 2) after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced larger-than-expected bond purchases. The yield on the benchmark 10-year bond dropped nearly 10 basis points—from 6.58% to 6.48%—after the central bank revealed plans to buy ₹80,000 crore worth of bonds in April.

Hindustan Zinc shares ended 1.3% higher at a price of ₹459.50 on Wednesday.
