Shares of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd ended at ₹266.45, up by ₹1.55, or 0.59%, on the BSE.

Indian defence companies such as Bharat Electronics, Hindustan Aeronautics, and Bharat Dynamics are expected to benefit from the European Union’s EUR 800 billion rearmament plan, which includes increased defence procurement.

India and the United States have initiated trade talks this week. After threatening all nations, including India, with reciprocal tariffs starting April 2, the US government, as per sources, want zero-for-zero tariffs for all product lines except agriculture. Can India offer zero tariffs on all American goods coming into India, including Tesla? That remains to be seen. However, experts have been saying that India can offer zero-for-zero tariffs on 90% of industrial goods from the US.

The Trump administration has raised tariffs on imports from China twice since taking office in January. China has hit back with duties and other restrictions on American goods and companies. Wang said China expects mutual respect in its dealings with other countries.
