Sebi has introduced a new regulatory framework for Specialized Investment Funds (SIFs) effective from April 1, 2025. This new framework offers greater portfolio flexibility compared to mutual funds while bridging the gap with Portfolio Management Services (PMS). Investors will be required to invest a minimum of ₹10 lakh across SIF strategies, with guidelines on risk levels, exposure limits, and disclosure requirements to ensure transparency and enhanced investment options.
